Canada secured a spot in the elimination round with their third consectutive win.
The Canadians came out and did not take the Germans lightly as the US had done a few days prior. The result was a hard fought, if not boring at times, win.

Go check out the comments from the last game at Calgarypuck.com. When I was reading it, I couldn’t help but think that if you switched the Calgary names with Canuck names, it’s almost the same story we read consistently here.

December 27, 2006Surprisingly, there are four Canuck draft picks playing in the World Junior Championship tournament this year.
I say surprisingly becuase the team has no depth right now. We all know this when we look at the bare cupboard here in Vancouver, then again in Manitoba.

December 27, 2006I love this time of year. The office is always operating at a slower pace, and more importantly, the TV’s are on in the lunchrooms with all the World Junior hockey games.
Except this year, I’ve changed companies and there are no TV’s. Anwhere.
But fortunately for me, TSN.ca has found a way to broadcast these games [...]
