Tremblay has been a serviceable defenseman in Atlanta and Toronto for parts of 8 years prior to the lockout.  After which he played a couple seasons in the German Elite league.

Tremblay was brought in, along with Krajicek, to help alleviate some of the offence that left when Jovanovski signed in Phoenix.  Despite the fact Tremblay has played in Germany for the last couple years, he is an offensive defenseman.

At one point in his tenure in Atlanta, he was the all time leader in shots on goal.  Look for Tremblay to get an opportunity on the first power play unit.  He needs to be getting power play time in Vancouver, or he’ll end up playing in Manitoba.  He wasn’t brought in as the 7th or 8th guy to sit on the sidelines or grind out a win for the team.  That job was handed directly to Willie Mitchell.
