Canuck Secret Weapon

Don’t Laugh.  Some of you will want to.  But this isn’t just any other blogger telling you this.

Tommi Santala will have a big game.

There, I said it and I feel good about it.  This guy hasn’t done a whole lot this year, but he’s got grit and determination when he sets his mind to it.

His best game came this year when he took a fierce hit on the boards.  Bieksa ended up in a fight on the play, but it was Sanatala that stepped up his play with a competitiveness and determination not normally seen by him.

You know the saying about waking someone up in a game?  That’s what happened to Sanatala in that game.

He’ll have that again tonight, and hopefully he’ll be awake for the rest of this playoff run as well.

The Chief Canuck

Updated: 10:53pm – Okay, Tommi wasn’t a game breaker tonight.  But it’s tough to be when you only play 2:51 in an entire game.  I still think Vigneault can find the right button to push on this guy.  He’s got a lot of talent and grit he can put out there.  Vigneault shortened the bench early tonight, and a lot of other players didn’t see much ice either.

Wow, that’s quite the out-there comment. I’m not in the same boat with you there, but I wouldn’t mind seeing it.

The guy has size, and a little talent, and maybe on a grand stage like the playoffs, he might be looking to prove himself.
